SUMMARY:SJBC Overnight at Pink Shell Marina
DESCRIPTION:SJC Boat Club Kite Flying event planned for April. Thanks\, Denny & Karen Bunce and Denny & Andrea Decker for pulling this plan together! It will be so nice to get back on the beach again!!! \nClubbers – please RSVP so plans can be finalized and enough dock space is reserved. \nFun times ahead!!! \n\nAll\,\n\nIn keeping with the tradition of Ken & Krista’s annual Kite Fly\, Karen & I\, with help from Denny & Andrea Dekker\, will host a 2 night overnight boating event at Pink Shell Marina on Ft. Myers Beach. The Marina will also hold enough room for day boats on the day of the Kite Fly.\n\nThe overnight boats will arrive on Wednesday April 10th after 11:00 AM. A “Happy Hour” will commence at 5;00 PM and a potluck dinner on the Marina patio area (Menu TBD) following. Sides are welcome. Both day’s events are open to anyone from the club. If you are without an overnight boat and want to participate in the Wednesday night event\, Pink Shell or other nearby resorts may have rooms available. Please check with resorts.\n\nThe Kite Fly event will take place on the beach area just north of the resort from 10:30 AM until noon on Thursday the 11th. Lunch will be served (Menu TBD) at the Marina at 12:30. Sides will be needed and judges for awards will be needed.\n\n Award ceremony following lunch. Balance of day & evening is at boater’s discretion. Free tram service (open bus) runs continuously to Times Square and has a stop directly in front of Pink Shell. An enclosed bus runs further south and has a $.75 PP charge and also has a Pink Shell and Time’s Square stop.\n\n Presently I have only held 5 overnight slips until I get responses from members. More may be available. Please email Karen or me at thedenster@yahoo.com or bunce.karen@yahoo.com ASAP\, or call me at (269) 998-2914 to confirm slip reservations\, and please RSVP for a head count on meals.\n\n  I will need captain’s name\, vessel name\, length and beam of vessel\, and whether boat needs 30 AMP or 50 AMP electrical power.\n\nDenny & Karen Bunce
