The Commodore's Ball will be held March 7 at Tucker & Linda Cope's home. 3825 Emerald Ave, St James City Starting at 6:00. There will be no boat club meeting, just the party starting at 6:00 The theme is Mardi Gras. Dinner will be Gumbo & Rice, Black Beans, Chicken and King Cake. Members are requested to bring an appetizer or side dish to share, and your chairs. Things to NOTE: There will be no boat club meeting, just the party starting at 6:00 ALSO you may bring an appetizer or side dish, but PLEASE, NO DESSERTS! There is no charge for this meeting. Linda would appreciate help decorating and setting up. She really tries to make this a special event so let’s pitch in. Our hosts would appreciate help with setting up and serving and could use a few more tables.
Lunch cruise to the Yucatan Grill (Matlacha) on Tuesday March 11, set for 11am. Please respond as Lew soon as possible, as they need to give the restaurant a head count. From Commodore Mike: April Fools Beach Party (no kidding) April 1. Hope you can join us at Pelican Bay (Cayo Costa) for some fun beach time. There will be a BEACH PARTY on April 1st in Pelican Bay, Join us at the sandbar at the northern entrance to Pelican Bay.. Last Laugh will be there at 11am... this is a BYOS event (Bring Your Own Stuff): simple as can be, just show up and enjoy the day! More info to follow, once we get back from our trip to the Keys. Last Laugh will be anchored in the bay and we’ll have our dinghy to ferry anyone who wants a ride to the beach. Smaller boats can land on the beach. Beth Minderler will be collecting $10 at the door. The theme is "Nautical", so dig out your SJCBC attire (optional) or RUSH to the ship's store to purchase some new attire . April 16 Lunch Cruise at the Green Flash April 16 Wednesday, Lunch Cruise to the Green Flash Restaurant on Captiva Island. A nice boat trip to a wonderful waterfront restaurant. And as an added attraction, if you wish , you can take a short walk to the Bubble Rooms, Ice Cream and cake store. For those with more energy you can walk to the Gulf and check out the Mucky Duck's Progress.They are expecting us by 11AM.
