Celebration of life for Dave Strawbridge
Dekker’s home 3718 Pinetree Drive, SJC 3718 Pinetree Drive, SJCAn open house celebrating the life of Dave Strawbridge will held at the Dekker’s home on Sunday, November 5th from 1PM-4PM. Address is 3718 Pinetree Drive, SJC.. Light foods to include brisket sliders and various salads and side dishes will be served. Non alcoholic beverages will be available. You are welcome to bring a light appetizer or snack, however not required, also bring any alcoholic beverages you desire. We have outdoor seating for approximately 20 and another 8 indoors with the sliders open. Deb and her family would enjoy seeing all of her boat club friends. No RSVP is required, please come and enjoy this remembrance of Dave.

Parking will be in our driveway, and across the street in ours and both neighbor’s yards. Look for the “big fish” above our front door. Please bring your chairs as our limited space doesn’t allow for tables. With the assistance of Denny & Karen Bunce and Walt & Betsy Buch we will be serving Mexican street tacos with smoked brisket and chicken on our homemade tortillas and traditional Mexican accompaniments. Annual SJC Christmas Boat Parade
Message from Pete Karas regarding the Saint James City Boat Christmas boat parade. Our community will light up for the holidays once again - how wonderful is that!!! Please save the date of December 9. 2023 for annual St. James City Christmas Boat Parade. Please let me know if you can participate this year. I'm sure many of your boats were impacted in some way by hurricane Ian.

New Year’s Eve blast aboard Due South
All of our members are cordially invited to join this year’s New Year’s Eve blast aboard Due South (a/k/a the Hynds’ boat). Due South provides plenty of room for all. As in past years, we’ll be anchored in the anchorage area just off Fishermens Village Punta Gorda. That anchorage is well marked on charts and lies just to the East of the Fishermens Village approach markers and West of Peace River Light 4. We anticipate Due South will be in position by about 6PM and communications will be on Channel 68. Once you’re anchored, transportation over to Due South will be by dinghy.If you don’t have a dinghy, plenty of others will be running and available. If you would like to attend, but are not able (or choose not to) spend the night on your anchor, slips and/or rooms may be available in the Fishermens Village Marina. Please contact Pat […]
