The November boat club meeting will be held on Monday, November 13th at Denny & Andrea Dekker’s home 3718 Pinetree Drive (not Pinetree Blvd), in SJC starting at 4:30 PM. Parking will be in our driveway, and across the street in ours and both neighbor’s yards. Look for the “big fish” above our front door. Please bring your chairs as our limited space doesn’t allow for tables. With the assistance of Denny & Karen Bunce and Walt & Betsy Buch we will be serving Mexican street tacos with smoked brisket and chicken on our homemade tortillas and traditional Mexican accompaniments. Beer, wine and bottled water will be available, please bring a dish to pass. Donation of $10 per person please. Please RSVP by November 9th to either dekkerdw@gmail.com or text at 239-284-9110.

Please let Lew Buchanan know ASAP if you want to attend a luncheon to Cabbage Key on Tuesday Nov 21. We would leave approx 10am - ish. Bring cash to pay for lunch as they will not provide separate checks. Message from Pete Karas regarding the Saint James City Boat Christmas boat parade.  Our community will light up for the holidays once again - how wonderful is that!!! Please save the date of December 9. 2023 for annual St. James City Christmas Boat Parade.  Please let me know if you can participate this year.  I'm sure many of your boats were impacted in some way by hurricane Ian.

All of our members are cordially invited to join this year’s New Year’s Eve blast aboard Due South (a/k/a the Hynds’ boat). Due South provides plenty of room for all. As in past years, we’ll be anchored in the anchorage area just off Fishermens Village Punta Gorda. That anchorage is well marked on charts and lies just to the East of the Fishermens Village approach markers and West of Peace River Light 4. We anticipate Due South will be in position by about 6PM and communications will be on Channel 68. Once you’re anchored, transportation over to Due South will be by dinghy.If you don’t have a dinghy, plenty of others will be running and available. If you would like to attend, but are not able (or choose not to) spend the night on your anchor, slips and/or rooms may be available in the Fishermens Village Marina. Please contact Pat […]

Sun Feb 18 Service to remember Laurie Donaldson at SJC Baptist Church on 8th ST.  Regular Sunday service is at 10am, Laurie's service will follow at approx 11:15am. A luncheon will follow the service. You are all invited to attend a service in her honor on Sunday Feb 18 at the Saint James City Baptist Church on 8th St. Sunday services begin at 10am, Laurie's service will follow immediately around 11:15am. Lunch will be provided for all afterwards.

Let her know if you will be boating and number of people aboard. The restaurant requested a count and the Tarpon Point Marina needs the number of boats to plan for dock space.
