Chili Cookoff: Thursday Jan 30, 3-5PM at the St. James City Civic Center   Chilli Cookoff Information: Thursday January 30 at the St. James Civic Center Starting at 4:30 ( We will be setting up at 3:30 if anyone wishes to come and help) Judging at 6PM Cleanup and knock down at 6:30. There may be other groups there before or near the end , we will work around them. The Following members have said they will participate. Lew offered a kayak paddle on Thursday 2/13 at 10am at Four Winds Marina in Bokeelia. This is a chance to explore another beautiful part of our island.

From Commodore Mike: April Fools Beach Party (no kidding) April 1. Hope you can join us at Pelican Bay (Cayo Costa) for some fun beach time. There will be a BEACH PARTY on April 1st in Pelican Bay,  Join us at the sandbar at the northern entrance to Pelican Bay.. Last Laugh will be there at 11am... this is a BYOS event (Bring Your Own Stuff): simple as can be, just show up and enjoy the day! More info to follow, once we get back from our trip to the Keys. Last Laugh will be anchored in the bay and we’ll have our dinghy to ferry anyone who wants a ride to the beach. Smaller boats can land on the beach. BYOS(bring your own stuff - chairs, coolers,umbrellas, dog, etc). More details later. Hope to see you all there! Mike & Ginny

Mayday! Mayday! I saw on the news that the Sanibel Causeway beaches will be open on May 1.  Let's head to the beach and celebrate!  Good news is it's easy access and close to home.  I'll send location before we go.  BYOS (bring your own stuff) - and don't forget an umbrella!  Hope to see you all there. Sanibel fireworks are back for the Fourth of July!!  They set them off at the foot of Bailey Road (Sanibel side of the causeway) at sunset. We are planning on taking the boat out and anchoring, and wonder if anyone is interested in coming along. Weather permitting we can raft up, if not we'll anchor separately. We've done this many times in the past and it is a great time.

The Celebration of Life in St. James City, FL will be Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Fisher of Men Church. Service at 11:00 with a luncheon at 12:00 There will be a Celebratioin on the water at 3:00pm at Buoy 14 just west of the Waterfront Canal
